CEIR names Casey president-CEO

Published on .

Dallas—The Center for Exhibition Research has named Brian Casey as its new president-CEO, succeeding longtime chief executive Douglas Ducate, who will step down by the end of the year. Casey, who assumes his new post on Dec. 1, is joining CEIR from the Cleveland Global Center for Health Innovation & Convention Center, where he is VP-general manager. He has also served as president-CEO of the High Point Authority, which operates a home-furnishings trade show, and as managing director-trade shows at association management company SmithBucklin Corp. Ducate has been CEIR's president-CEO since 1998. Announcing his pending retirement from CEIR in June, Ducate said he would remain active in the exhibition industry.
