Dallas—The growth of the trade show industry has stalled, with revenue showing only a slight increase in the third quarter, according to a new study from the Center for Exhibition Research. According to CEIR's quarterly report, weaker growth of 0.2%—about one percentage point lower than the previous three quarters and down from 0.9% during the same period in 2012—was due to a 2.1% year-over-year decline in attendees. Despite the decline in attendees, measured net square feet increased 0.6%, the number of exhibitors rose 0.2%, and revenue jumped 2.2% in the third quarter, CEIR said in a statement.
