Centura Software taps Frankfurt Balkind for $23M ad account

Redwood Shores, Calif.-Centura Software Corp. has awarded its $23 million advertising account to Frankfurt Balkind. The New York-based marketing firm, whose clients also include Pitney Bowes Inc. and CMP Media Inc., will develop a global marketing campaign for Centura, the nation's 19th-largest software provider. It will debut in the first half of 2001. The move comes at a pivotal juncture in Centura's development; its stock is trading in the low single digits, off a 52-week high of $18.875.
