CEO TEC Confidence rises 11.9% in second quarter

Published on .

San Diego--The CEO TEC Confidence Index rose 11.9% for the second quarter compared with the same period last year, according to TEC International, an association of CEOs.

The TEC Confidence Index was based on interviews with more than 1,100 CEOs of small and midsize businesses.

The survey found that 76% of CEOs believe that overall economic conditions in the second quarter have improved over the past year.

In the second-quarter survey last year, only one-third of CEOs said economic conditions had improved.

The survey also found that 66% of CEOs plan to increase the number of employees over the next year, and nearly half said they will increase wages.
