Chase Manhattan, NatWest to form global b-to-b credit card alliance

New York--New York-based Chase Manhattan Bank and London-based National Westminster Bank plc have agreed to form a strategic alliance to jointly market credit card acceptance services to business clients globally. Chase Manhattan and National Westminster, the top merchant credit card processors in their respective countries, will allow business customers to accept credit card transactions in 145 currencies. Meanwhile, Visa International, Foster City, Calif., already is marketing its b-to-b credit card acceptance services around the globe.
