Chemical, gas associations unite to promote XML standard

Alexandria, Va.--The Chemical Industry Data Exchange, a trade association that promotes electronic data exchange between chemical companies and their trading partners, and the Gas Processors Association Tuesday said they have agreed to work together to adopt XML-based standards for their industries. The organizations will use Chem eStandards, a uniform industry standard using XML (extensible markup language), as a data exchange platform, enabling the buying and selling of products.
