Chorus to link social conversations, offline word-of-mouth

Published on .

New York—Social media consultancy Converseon Inc. has partnered with word-of-mouth analytics company ChatThreads Corp. to develop a tool called Chorus that links social media sentiment with offline conversation tracking.

Chorus combines Converseon's Conversation Mining technology, which harvests conversations occurring on social media, with ChatThread's mobile touch point tracking system, which enables participants to record marketing impressions as they are encountered.

The new tool tracks how online conversation drives word-of-mouth offline and the reverse; identifies those social media venues with high audience impact; and determines how online conversations affect various segment activity and behavior occurring offline, among other features, according to the companies.
