Framingham, Mass.--International Data Group’s CIO announced plans to publish a special issue on the global impact of technology.

Added to CIO’s regular frequency of 23 issues per year, this issue will be a collection of essays by Robert Reich, former U.S. Secretary of Labor; Newt Gingrich, former U.S. Speaker of the House; Eric Brynjolfsson, professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management; Robert Schiller, professor at Yale University; and others. Ken Allard, a former U.S. Army colonel, will write about technology’s impact on war.

The special issue of CIO will be distributed to the magazine’s current controlled circulation of 140,000 CIOs and senior business and technology executives, as well as a select list of Fortune 1000 CEOs, CFOs and other executives.
