Cisco to buy Inlet Technologies for $95 million

San Jose, Calif.—Cisco Systems announced plans to acquire Inlet Technologies, a Raleigh, N.C., digital media company, for $95 million in cash.

The acquisition will strengthen Cisco's Videoscape TV platform, which allows content providers to deliver video to an assortment of devices over the Internet. Under terms of the acquisition, Inlet will be merged into Cisco's Service Provider Video Technology Group.
