Sydney, Australia--Cisco Systems has opened a $45 million customer and technical assistance center in Sydney geared toward Cisco's business customers throughout the Asia Pacific region. In a statement, Richard Freemantle, senior VP-Asia Pacific theatre, said the company set up the center because Asia Pacific businesses are increasingly ramping up Internet operations as the region's economies begin to recover. Cisco's center will provide assistance 24 hours a day, in more than 15 languages.
