Cisco, Rubric sign e-marketing deal

San Jose, Calif.--Rubric, a San Mateo, Calif.-based campaign management software company, has agreed to assist Cisco Systems in building and coordinating its e-mail and direct mail efforts. Rubric will work with Cisco to plan, execute and analyze Cisco's automated marketing campaigns. "Cisco manages up to 150 active marketing campaigns at any one time within our lines of business. We needed a system that could coordinate all of these campaigns and allow us to develop and deliver targeted messages for different audiences," said Matt Rausenberger, Cisco's senior manager-marketing operations, in a statement.
