Clickatell, Media Trust gain venture capital funding

Redwood City, Calif.—Mobile messaging company Clickatell has secured $12 million in a second round of venture funding, led by Sequoia Capital and DAG Ventures, to continue the company's expansion.

Clickatell enabling financial transactions over mobile phones, in addition to offering mobile messaging for businesses.

In addition, New York-based digital marketing company MediaTrust has secured $3 million in funding, led by Ropart Asset Management Funds. The funds will go to support the launch of MediaTrust's Performance Exchange, the company's advertising exchange.
