ClubCorp tees up resort industry e-marketplace

Published on .

Dallas-based ClubCorp, an owner and operator of Pinehurst and other golf resorts, announced Wednesday it plans to create an e-marketplace focused on purchasing for the hotel, resort and golf industry. The e-marketplace will be a joint venture with Atlanta-based Harbinger Corp., a supplier of b-to-b e-commerce software, which will be the technology partner. Called ePurchase.net, the e-marketplace is scheduled to be online by mid-year. The site will provide resorts with a single point of access to purchase such things as course maintenance equipment, food and beverage services. The two companies say they are recruiting others in the resort industry to join the planned exchange.
