CMO Council to create MPM model

Palo Alto, Calif.--The CMO Council, a non-profit organization for senior marketing executives, said it will create a standard marketing performance measurement (MPM) model for use in the technology industry.

The council has formed a task force, as well as an MPM Advisory Committee made up of technology marketing executives from Alcatel, Dow Corning, Oracle Corp. and other companies.

The council aims to adopt a common set of performance indicators, metrics and benchmarks for measuring marketing return on investment and value creation. Information about the council is available at (650) 328- 5555, ext. 115.
