CMO Council, NVision partner on marketing supply chain audit

Palo Alto, Calif.—The Chief Marketing Officer Council is offering a free online tool to help marketers track potential savings within their supply chain of marketing materials, storage and work flow practices.

Developed with marketing supply chain specialist Nvision, the interactive tool guides marketers through a series of questions about print and fulfillment spending, vendors, marketing materials warehousing practices and work flow management systems, among other marketing supply issues.

After the questions are answered, a report is presented with recommendations and potential savings gained by eliminating hidden or legacy processes.

In a statement, the CMO Council said the tool was prompted by its own research showing that 75% of marketers had not mapped or audited their company's marketing supply procedures, relying instead on “optimized operations.”
