Eduardo Conrado, previously senior VP-marketing and IT at Motorola Solutions, has been named chief innovation officer at the company, moving even further into a technology role.
In his new position, Mr. Conrado will lead the chief information office, the chief technology office and Motorola Solutions Venture Capital, the company's strategic investment group. He will oversee product, software, service, business model and customer experience innovation.
Mr. Conrado was not available for an interview at press time, and Motorola Solutions has not formally announced his new position.
"Marketing will focus on the user experience. It will be a mission between marketing, the CIO and CTO of the company, looking holistically at the user experience," Mr. Conrado said in an Ad Age interview last month about the top b-to-b trends for 2015.
Mr. Conrado has been with Motorola in various marketing roles since 1992. In January 2011, when the company split into two separate businesses – Motorola Mobility for consumer products and Motorola Solutions for b-to-b products -- Mr. Conrado was named senior VP-CMO at the latter.
In January 2013 he added the IT title to his role, and was put in charge of both marketing and IT.
Mr. Conrado served as chairman of the Business Marketing Association from 2012-2013.
