CMP ad pages decline

Manhasset, N.Y.--CMP Media, a unit of London-based United Business Media, reported Thursday that ad pages in its continuing publications declined 14.8% last month, compared with February 2002.

CMP’s figures showed that the information technology advertising market as a whole decreased by 16.8% over the same period.

A few publications showed signs of stabilizing last month, with Network Computing posting 1.4% growth in pages, compared with February 2002. CRN posted a 5.0% gain. InformationWeek continued to lose pages, posting a 12.7% decline in February, compared with a year earlier.
