CMP ad pages down

Manhasset, N.Y.--CMP Media L.L.C., a unit of United Business Media, reported Wednesday that its ad pages decreased 16.4% in the first six months of 2003, compared with the same period of 2002, according to data supplied by IMS/The Auditor. CMP Media said that market share from its continuing titles in the first half of 2003 increased to 29.4% from 27.5% in the first half of 2002. Information Week (-11.3%) and EE Times (-17.3%) continued to shed pages in the first half of 2003, compared with the first half of 2002. Bright spots included channel publications CRN (6.8%) and VAR Business (8.0%), which were up in the first six months of 2003, compared with the same period last year.
