CMP announces executive changes

Manhasset, N.Y.--CMP Media, a unit of United News & Media's Miller Freeman, announced Wednesday that Tony Uphoff, president of CMP's business technology group, is leaving the company to join Beliefnet.com, a Web site focusing on religion, as president-CEO. John Russell, currently group president of the channel group, is being promoted to a new corporate presidential post, overseeing the channel and business technology groups. Adam Marder, currently VP-general manager of the business technology group, becomes president of the group. Pam Watkins, currently senior VP-business development of CMP, becomes president of the channel group.
