London--Ad declines continued for CMP Media Inc. in April, according to figures released Wednesday by the technology publisher's corporate parent, United Business Media plc. Ad pages for CMP, which publishes Information Week
and EE Times,
fell 20% compared with April 2001. In the first four months of this year, ad pages were down 29% from the year-earlier period. Through April, ad pages were down in double-digits for CMP's major tech titles. Ad pages fell 34% for company flagship Information Week
and 49% for ebn.
However, United Business said that through April, CMP increased its market share to 31% compared with 25% during the same period last year.
