CMP Media starts permission-based online advertising platform

Manhasset, N.Y.--CMP Media L.L.C. has launched DataPop, a permission-based online advertising platform that allows users to request information from an advertiser without being diverted from their online work. The platform allows users to ask for specific information, which is e-mailed to them. Developed by CMP Media division TechWeb, DataPop will be made available on CMP media properties, including InformationWeek.com and InternetWeek.com.
