CMP moves into 'Services'

Published on .

Manhasset, N.Y.--CMP Media’s InformationWeek announced it is moving beyond print, online, research and events and introducing “Services,” a resource that provides benchmarking, training and consultancy services for organizations.

The Software Genome Council is the first offering under the benchmarking arm and stems from a partnership between InformationWeek and Emergeon, a professional services company.

The SGC is a fee-based membership organization composed of information technology executives and is designed to increase on-target performance of software projects.

“Since InformationWeek is the leader in sharing information across a variety of disciplines to better support the people who buy, build and manage information technology, it was a natural progression for us to expand our media platform to encompass specific service tools directed towards our reader and advertising customers,” said Michael Friedenberg, InformationWeek’s VP-publisher.
