Published on .

London--United Business Media, parent of tech publisher CMP Media, said Friday that it will release its interim results on Aug. 2 and that it remains on target to meet the financial performance targets it released in May. CMP Media, which publishes InformationWeek, CRN and other tech titles, has seen ad pages decline 40% compared with the record levels of 2000. The company pointed out, however, that it has calculated that its market share in tech ad pages over the first five months of this year improved to 29%, compared with the same period last year. InformationWeek was down 30.9% in ad pages in the first five months of 2002 compared with the same period last year. Other CMP publications are experiencing similar declines: EE Times (-31.5%); Dr. Dobb’s (-30.9%); Network Computing (-28.8%); EBN (-46.9%); Network Magazine (-14.3%); CRN (-31.7%); and VAR Business (-13.4%).
