CMP renames circulation department, hires execs

Published on .

Manhasset, N.Y.--CMP Media's business technology group announced Wednesday that it has hired Michael Zane, formerly group circulation director for Ziff Davis' controlled IT titles, as head of its circulation department, which CMP has renamed its audience development department. The renaming is meant to reflect that the department will support online, print and event audiences. CMP has also hired Scott Popowitz, also a former Ziff Davis employee, to focus on audience development for InformationWeek. In addition to forming the audience development department, CMP also formed a customer relationship marketing team, which will maintain a customer database and be led by Tom Kraemer.
