CMP's TechWeb introduces Focal Points ad program

Manhasset, N.Y.--CMP Media's TechWeb Network has launched Focal Points, a content-driven ad program that lets technology vendors distribute links to their content across the TechWeb Network of Web sites.

The program is based on 25 technology categories, such as anti-virus software and desktop applications.

Advertisers are offered sponsorship on a customized news page, which features six CMP stories about a specific topic. Focal Points also includes an introductory content paragraph about the vendor and five links to the vendor's content.

Advertisers may also add a registration service to their links for lead generation.

Each Focal Point package comes with 100,000 monthly banner impressions and 100,000 e-mail newsletter ads that contain links to vendor content.
