With the network, the InformationWeek brand will be extended to include three other CMP publications: Bank Systems & Technology, Insurance & Technology and Wall Street & Technology.
The InformationWeek brand will appear on the covers of these publications, though they will retain their current titles.
The other two publications in the vertical industry network are the quarterly Government Enterprise and Healthcare Enterprise, which is slated for launch in the fall.
InformationWeek's VP-publisher Michael Friedenberg will oversee the network.
The move, Friedenberg said, is intended to reflect the way that technology companies, including Intel Corp., IBM Corp. and SAP, are responding to the market by offering modified products and services for unique vertical industry demands.
"The network will provide a cohesive and integrated way for advertisers to reach critical technology decision-makers, both from a broad business technology and a vertically focused perspective," Friedenberg said.
