CMP tech titles’ ad pages decline

Manhasset, N.Y.--CMP Media, a unit of United Business Media, said Wednesday that its continuing technology magazines posted a 7.8% decrease in ad pages in February compared with February of last year, according to figures compiled by IMS: Auditor.

The tech publishing industry as a whole recorded a 9.2% decline over the same period.

Among CMP’s largest titles, EE Times (-16.8%) and Dr. Dobb’s (-34.6%) posted the largest dropoffs in ad pages in February. Network Computing (28.3%) and CRN (9.1%) posted the biggest gains in ad pages.
