CMP Technology reshuffles management at Business Technology Group

Manhasset, N.Y.—CMP Technology has made several changes in the management ranks of its Business Technology Group. Jeff Patterson, formerly exec VP-global sales and brand development, has been named president of the group. Fritz Nelson, formerly president of the group, was named publishing director of CMP flagship Information Week.

CMP has also shifted its CSI and Black Hat security events into its Applied Technologies Group, which is headed by Philip Chapnick. It also moved its Shorecliff events, which serve the RFID (radio frequency identification), IPTV, broadband and wireless infrastructure markets, into the Applied Technologies Group.
