CMPMedica closes two publications

Norwalk, Conn.—United Business Media’s CMPMedica confirmed that is has closed two print publications: Infections in Medicine and AIDS Reader.

The closures were due to an “industrywide reduction in print advertising,” said Amy Erdman, CMPMedica’s director of marketing, research and circulation. Both brands will continue to have a digital presence, Erdman said.

CMPMedica also cut an unspecified number of positions.
