Published on .

Fort Lee, N.J.--CNBC announced Monday it will launch several new programming initiatives, including the expansion of ``Business Center'' from one hour to 90 minutes beginning July 31. ``Business Center'' will air Monday through Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. (all times eastern). The announcement comes when ``Business Center'' is riding high, beating CNN's ``Moneyline'' by 20% in households in the second quarter, according to a press release. CNBC also announced the July 31 debut of a new stock ticker with extended hours and real-time quotes. The network is also opening a Silicon Valley bureau in partnership with The Wall Street Journal.
