CNET launches Linux Center

San Francisco--Technology portal CNET on Wednesday announced the launch of Linux Center, aimed at information technology professionals using Linux for their businesses. The site ( provides Linux news from CNET's and CNET Radio, search capabilities, product reviews, a Web directory, stock quotes, help, software downloads and Linux-related auctions. In a news release, CNET said it already has a large audience interested in Linux, as demonstrated by the more than 1 million Corel software products downloaded for Linux at the CNET Web site.
