San Francisco--Technology portal CNET on Wednesday announced the launch of Linux Center, aimed at information technology professionals using Linux for their businesses. The site (linux.cnet.com) provides Linux news from CNET's News.com and CNET Radio, search capabilities, product reviews, a Web directory, stock quotes, help, software downloads and Linux-related auctions. In a news release, CNET said it already has a large audience interested in Linux, as demonstrated by the more than 1 million Corel software products downloaded for Linux at the CNET Web site.
