Published on .

San Francisco--CNet Networks’ ZDNet officially announced Monday a new Webcast program that includes in-person and online dimensions. VeriSign sponsored ZDNet’s initial event and Webcast, titled “Digital Defense Test 2003,” which took place in September and was later Webcast in October. First, “Digital Defense Test 2003” was a live event attended by about 70 information technology and business executives. Later, it was offered as a Webcast on ZDNet, which said more than 2,000 people had registered for the online version. At the live event, ZDNet gave each audience member a real-time polling device to boost the interactive nature of the event.
