CNN.com picks Overture for search services

Pasadena, Calif.--Yahoo!'s search subsidiary Overture Services announced Monday it has signed a new distribution agreement with CNN.com.

Overture will replace CNN.com's existing Google search results with results generated by Yahoo!'s Search Technology and begin providing its Content Match results to CNN.com users. It has also signed a new distribution deal with WSJ.com and has extended its existing agreement with ESPN.com to include Content Match.

Overture said all three deals involve multiyear agreements. --
