Cobalt Group plans b-to-b automotive portal

Published on .

Seattle--The Cobalt Group announced Thursday that it will launch Motorplace.com, a business-to-business vertical portal for the automotive industry. The site will aggregate vehicle and parts data from Cobalt's more than 12,000 auto dealer clients to create a dealer-to-dealer electronic-commerce marketplace. The site will also provide U.S. auto dealers access to a broad range of Internet-based business management tools, as well as information services such as daily automotive and national news, sports scores, stock quotes and weather. The site will feature a new and used vehicle locator, an OEM parts locator and a directory of automotive equipment and service vendors. Motorplace.com is scheduled to officially launch by the end of January.
