Comdisco says bids for leasing business unacceptable, gets more time from bankruptcy court

Published on .

Rosemont, Ill.--Comdisco Inc. said Friday that a sales evaluation procedure conducted through the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for its leasing businesses did not turn up an acceptable offer before the Nov. 20 deadline. The technology services company is involved in a court-supervised sales process and received permission to continue sales evaluations for its leasing businesses through Jan. 24, Comdisco said. That means the company can go back to potential qualified bidders and ask them to send revised, sealed bids in January. Comdisco and 50 of its domestic U.S. subsidiaries filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on July 16.
