Commerce One gains XML capabilities

Published on .

Pleasanton, Calif. --Already a leader in extensible markup language (XML) technology, Commerce One Inc. Monday said it has cut a deal with XMLSolutions Corp., McLean, Va., to use that vendor's XML integration technology. In particular, XMLSolutions will help translate data from existing electronic data interchange (EDI) standards into Commerce One's XML Common Business Library (or xCBL) language. The deal is important because it will help old-line companies that depend on EDI services use XML to more fully participate in Internet-based e-business relationships.
