Companies boost use of Internet

Published on .

Tampa, Fla.--Middle-market companies, defined as businesses with annual sales between $10 million and $250 million, have increased their use of the Internet to buy, sell and bank in the last 12 months, according to new research by PSI Global, a marketing information company that focuses on financial services. PSI Global's figures show that 89% of middle-market companies are using the Internet, a 31% increase over last year. Slightly less than 65% of these companies have a Web site, 40% use PC banking applications and about 25% make online purchases. "Mid-size companies have aggressively expanded their capabilities to market products and provide customer services online," said Maria Erickson, a PSI senior VP.
