Many consider, but few companies offer electronic directories

Cleveland--A new study has found that just 5% of associations and professional societies offer electronic directories as another way of providing company information. The report, released by RecTec Inc., which is an electronic publishing and technology partner to 20 associations and professional societies nationwide, was based on interviews with 500 association executives. Although few associations now publish their directories in electronic form, 50% are moving toward offering digital directories within the next five years, according to the study.
