Andover, Mass.--Internet portal company MyWay.com said Wednesday that Compaq Computer Corp., Houston, has entered into an agreement to purchase a co-branded Internet portal aimed at employees of small and midsize businesses. MyWay.com, Andover, Mass., will deliver such services as secure file delivery, training and market research, as well as content from such publications as The New York Times and TheStreet.com. In a statement, Compaq VP-iServices Ray Frigo said the move to build the portal, dubbed ``MyWorkspace.compaq.com,'' signals that the computer manufacturer is expanding beyond hardware sales toward Internet service businesses. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
