Computer Associates launches $100 million brand blitz

Islandia, N.Y.--The $6 billion Computer Associates International Inc. has taken the wrappers off a $100 million, 12-month corporate brand identity campaign designed to position the 25-year-old company as a player in the e-business software market. A new logo, which uses the company's "CA" initials to communicate the intersection between traditional computer software and the Net, is a central part of the campaign. Young & Rubicam Inc. created the print and broadcast campaign, which will run in 165 countries over the next four months.
