ComScore announces new metrics to measure user engagement

Reston, Va.—ComScore Media Metrix announced a new set of metrics based on visits to measure user engagement on Web sites. Among the new metrics are total visits, average minutes per visit, average visits per visitor and average visits per usage a day. comScore said the new metrics provide an alternative to page views and other traditional site metrics to help Web properties understand how users are engaging with their content.
