Comstock returns to GE as CMO

Published on .

Fairfield, Conn.—GE announced that Beth Comstock is returning to the parent company as senior VP-CMO from her current position as president of integrated media at GE business unit NBC Universal.

Comstock served as CMO of GE from 2003 to 2005. She succeeds Dan Henson, currently VP-CMO, who has been named president-CEO of GE Capital Solutions.

The changes take effect next Monday.

In her role as CMO, Comstock will lead GE’s organic growth initiatives, including marketing, sales and communications.

She will also direct two strategic growth initiatives for GE—developing cross-business initiatives and building a network of external partners to extend GE’s leadership in environmental technologies.

Comstock will report directly to GE Chairman-CEO Jeffrey Immelt.
