Condé Nast buys Ars Technica

New York—Technology news Web site Ars Technica announced Monday that it has been acquired by Condé Nast.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but reports put the transaction at about $25 million.

The site will become part of Condé Nast’s Wired Digital unit, which includes HotWired, Reddit, WebMonkey and Wired.com.

In addition, new Ars Technica offices will be opened in Chicago and San Francisco.
