Waltham, Mass.—Multichannel marketing platform Constant Contact has acquired SinglePlatform, a portal that allows businesses to publish information about themselves for distribution across online directories, for $65 million.
SinglePlatform enables businesses to upload their information to a dashboard, which is then distributed to a network of directories and publishing partners, including Foursquare, The New York Times
and digital directoryYP.com. The information is also uploaded automatically to those businesses' social networking accounts and mobile applications.
Constant Contact is not charging for basic listings. A paid premium service allows businesses to add rich content to their listings, such as products, services, photos and pricing.
