Convergys to lay off 950 as part of restructuring

Cincinnati--Convergys Corp., a publicly held call center company, Thursday announced it is finalizing a restructuring plan that will include 950 layoffs between now and the end of 2003 in an attempt to reduce costs. It will take a restructuring charge of between $90 million and $110 million in the fourth quarter of this year. Convergys currently employs 44,000 people.
