Cook books consumer campaign

Bloomington, Ind.--Cook Inc. said Friday that it has launched the first consumer advertising campaign in its 37-year history, placing advertisements in ®MDUL¯USA Today.®MDNM¯ The move underscores a trend among health care companies to move to a more direct model to create awareness for their products. Cook, Bloomington, Ind., is pitching twice weekly through September in ®MDUL¯USA Today®MDNM¯ its Oasis Wound Dressing, which is a new product designed to help people with slow-to-heal wounds. The campaign dovetails with a more traditional effort to reach 300,000 physicians through a direct campaign.
