Corporate managers worry about unsolicited e-mail

Indianapolis—Corporate managers worry that they may be a source of unsolicited commercial e-mail, according to a survey by ExactTarget, an e-mail marketing service company.

Seventy-eight percent of respondents said they were somewhat or very concerned that an unsubscribed person would again receive e-mail from their company. And 35% said subscribers had in fact received e-mails despite opting out.

The survey found the executives also struggle with maintaining the brand control and message consistency of their commercial e-mail campaigns.
