Covisint taps Credit Suisse executive as chairman-CEO and president

Published on .

Detroit--Covisint L.L.C. has named Kevin English chairman-CEO and president. He will oversee all of the Big 3 exchange's global operations. English joins Covisint from New York-based investment bank Credit Suisse First Boston Corp., where he was managing director of electronic commerce. Before that, he was CEO of TheStreet.com Inc., the faltering financial news site that English helped take public in 1999. In a conference call, English said that his background with start-ups and his knowledge of technology, finance and journalism would help him manage Covisint. "I've got a strong foundation in technology, and an understanding of taking companies public and managing companies in their growth phase, as Covisint is right now," English said.
