Cox Interactive Media makes $30 million investment in Tickets.com

Atlanta--Cox Interactive Media announced it will make a $30 million investment in Tickets.com, a Newport Beach, Calif.-based online entertainment ticket purveyor. The pact means that Tickets.com will be the premier provider of event ticketing services on CIMedia's city site network. Part of the deal also includes a $13.5 million media buy by Tickets.com that will place Tickets.com's ads throughout CIMedia parent Cox Enterprises' Web sites, newspapers and broadcasting venues.
