Crain Communications expands operations to Mexico

Published on .

Detroit--In its first foray into Latin America, Crain Communications Inc. announced Thursday that it has acquired three business publications in Mexico. Included in the deal are the weekly El Asesor de Mexico and the biweekly El Asesor de Monterrey, which cover the local business scenes in Mexico City and Monterrey, respectively. The two tabloids will join a group of four regional business publications owned by Crain, which publishes BtoB. The third acquisition is Internet Velocidad, a glossy bimonthly magazine that covers Mexico's growing Internet industry. The Spanish language publications are the first Crain-owned products not published in English.
